The ARC-6060 external RAID controller features a two Ultra 2Gb Fibre to SCSI ll host channel and SATA ll device attachment. The controller has a base module with 16 SATA ll channels for disk drives. Installing a two 2Gb Fibre to SCSI ll host daughter board onto the base module allow you to support 16 channels Fibre to SCSI ll function. The Array controller provides reliable data protection for servers & offers a new level polynomial technology to implement the high speed RAID 6 function. Its performance is very similar to RAID 5. The controller raises the standard to high performance levels with several enhancements including Intel IOP321, a new memory architecture (PC1600 DDR) and new RAID 6 engine.
