High duty cycles and adverse environmental conditions may require the drive to be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure optimum performance is maintained, and it is therefore considered good practice to clean the drive approximately every two weeks. Use TDK quality cleaning cartridges for regulars drive head cleanings. With TDK Ultrium Cleaning Cartridges there is no need to disassemble your drive; tape heads are easily, efficiently and thoroughly cleaned by this cartridge. It works with any Ultrium 1, 2 or 3 drive.
