provider of server and workstation memory, today announced a first-to-market 8GB upgrade for HPs ProLiant DL145 server, allowing customers to double the servers maximum memory capacity from 16GB to 32GB. This upgrade is currently not available from HP. Also released today were 1, 2 and 4GB upgrades for the ProLiant DL145.The ProLiant DL145 is a dual processor server - first in a new line of AMD Opteron-based servers from HP. Supporting up to 32GB of Dataram memory, the server is optimized for High Performance Computing (HPC) and is perfect for financial applications, geo-sciences, mechanical engineering (MCAD), virtual prototyping, electronic design automation (EDA), life sciences and bio-IT, and high-end film and video. With a single architecture, the DL145 supports both 32-bit and 64-bit computing, allowing customers to maintain existing x86 infrastructure while enabling a smooth migration to next-generation 64-bit operating systems and applications. The DL145 is available with a choice of three AMD Opteron processors1.6GHz, 1.8GHz, or 2.2GHz.Dataram memory has been tested and validated to be 100% hardware and software compatible and priced to enable significant savings, especially with large memory capacities where total memory can equal or exceed the cost of the system.
